Sales Development Representative

Oritain Global Limited

LondonFull-timeMid LevelOn-site

Job Description

Oritain proves where products actually come from, using forensic science to verify the origin of raw materials like cotton, leather and timber for over 1,800 of the world's leading retailers, brands and suppliers.

About the Role

As a Sales Development Representative, you will not just book meetings. You will act as a mini account strategist: spotting opportunities, building relationships, and creating commercial momentum across events, supplier ecosystems, dormant accounts and industry campaigns, before handing qualified opportunities to an Account Executive.

This is a grad friendly entry point. No previous sales experience is required, we care far more about how you think than what is on your CV so far.

This is also where our next generation of Account Executives and commercial leaders comes from. Strong performance in this seat leads somewhere, on a clear and genuinely fast timeline.

Key Responsibilities

Account and Market Strategy

Research target accounts and markets, understand how organisations and supply chains fit together, and identify the prospects and stakeholders worth engaging.

Multi-Channel Engagement

Run outreach across phone, email and LinkedIn, personalised to the account. Use AI tools to work faster and smarter, not to replace your own judgement.

Campaign and Motion Execution

Work across event follow-up, supplier ecosystem plays, dormant account reactivation, whitepaper follow-up and industry campaigns.

Relationship Building

Build credibility with senior stakeholders, and work closely with Marketing, Account Executives, Customer Success and RevOps.

Pipeline Discipline

Keep the CRM accurate, track your own performance, and use what you learn to keep improving.

Skills & Experience

Required

  • Genuine curiosity about industries, supply chains and customer challenges, not just the ability to say you have it

  • A commercial mindset: you think in terms of opportunities created, not tasks completed

  • Comfortable learning complex or technical topics fast and explaining them simply

  • Resilient and organised, able to manage multiple things at once without losing momentum

  • Comfortable using AI tools as part of how you work

  • Full right to work in the UK

Desirable

  • A science, business or language related degree (not required, we are genuinely open to any background)

  • Evidence of commercial thinking outside the classroom: fundraising, a side project, part time sales or retail work

  • A second language

Company Benefits

  • Hybrid working (minimum 4 days per week in our Farringdon office)

  • 35 days paid leave, inclusive of public holidays

  • Birthday off

  • Enhanced parental leave

  • Life insurance

  • Healthcare Cash Plan

  • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)

  • Pension

  • Monthly Wellbeing Allowance

  • Breakfast, snacks, Friday lunch and barista coffee in the office

  • Learning portal with over 100,000 assets for professional development

We believe great teams are built from different perspectives, experiences, and ways of thinking. We welcome applications from everyone and encourage you to bring your whole self to the process. If there’s anything we can do to support you, including any reasonable adjustments at any stage of hiring, please let the team know.
