Sales Assistant

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and customer-focused Part Time Sales Assistant to join our growing business.

This is primarily a sales and customer service role, working directly with customers in our showroom to understand their requirements and help them find the right products. As the role also involves stock handling, the successful candidate must be comfortable with manual handling and lifting tiles and other stock, which can be heavy.

The role is for 24 hours per week, Monday to Saturday, with Saturday morning availability essential. The successful candidate must be fully flexible and able to work a range of shifts across the six-day working week.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcoming customers and providing excellent customer service in the showroom.
• Advising customers on products and assisting with their purchasing decisions.
• Processing sales and providing a professional customer experience.
• Handling and moving stock, including lifting tiles and other heavy items.
• Assisting with stock checks, deliveries and general operational duties.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe showroom and working environment.
• Providing general support to the wider team and business as required.

Essential Criteria

• Previous sales or customer service experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A friendly, enthusiastic and customer-focused approach.
• Good basic Maths, English and computer skills.
• Ability to carry out manual handling duties and lift heavy stock safely.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Full flexibility to work MondaySaturday, including Saturday mornings.
