Sales Area Vice President, Acute Care Sales About the Company Respected provider of medical devices & supplies Industry Hospital & Health Care Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is in search of a Sales Area Vice President for Acute Care. The successful candidate will be tasked with driving revenue growth and expanding market share within acute care hospitals and health systems. This pivotal role involves developing strategic relationships, executing complex sales cycles, and delivering value-based solutions to a range of stakeholders, including clinicians, administrators, and supply chain professionals. The VP will be responsible for key IDN relationships, managing all aspects of these partnerships, and leading a team of Clinical Specialists and Sales Associates to ensure customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include achieving revenue targets, engaging clinical stakeholders, and maintaining a strong market presence through effective sales execution and market intelligence. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred) and a minimum of 7 years' successful healthcare sales experience, with a proven track record in meeting or exceeding quotas. Experience in acute care hospital sales, particularly with the ability to navigate complex purchasing processes and build strong relationships with C-suite executives and supply chain leaders, is essential. The role requires a candidate with strong clinical acumen, excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team to exceed customer expectations. The ideal candidate will have a background in medical products, supplies, devices, or distribution, and a deep understanding of the healthcare industry, including GPOs and distributor dynamics.
