Morgan McKinley is delighted to be partnering with a leading organisation within the healthcare sector to recruit a Sales Account Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional who enjoys building lasting customer relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Working with customers across the Irish primary care market, you will act as a trusted advisor, developing strong partnerships while driving revenue growth through proactive account management and business development activities. This role offers the opportunity to join a collaborative team within a growing organisation where your contribution will have a direct impact on business success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop an existing portfolio of customers, strengthening relationships while identifying opportunities to increase revenue and customer engagement.
  • Generate new business through proactive outbound calling, digital communication and prospecting activities, converting new leads into active customers.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline, ensuring opportunities are progressed effectively and sales targets are achieved.
  • Plan and conduct effective customer meetings and sales calls, identifying customer needs and uncovering new commercial opportunities through consultative selling.
  • Deliver a structured multi-channel communication approach, using digital tools to maximise customer engagement.
  • Utilise CRM systems, customer insights and sales data to prioritise activity, monitor pipeline performance and improve conversion rates.
  • Produce accurate sales reports and KPI updates, using performance metrics to continuously refine your sales approach.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the Irish primary care market, monitoring industry developments, competitor activity and emerging opportunities.
  • Work closely with internal marketing teams by sharing customer feedback, market insights and recurring themes to support future campaigns and business initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, ensuring follow-up actions are completed promptly and opportunities are effectively managed.
  • Continuously expand product knowledge through ongoing training and collaboration with internal teams and supplier partners.
  • Manage customer agreements, renewals, subscriptions and service level agreements to maximise customer retention and long-term account value.
  • Support wider business initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement across the organisation.

Experience & Skills:

  • Previous experience in a sales, business development or account management role.
  • Strong commercial awareness with a proven ability to achieve sales targets and deliver results.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with the confidence to lead customer conversations and negotiate effectively.
  • Highly organised with strong time management skills and experience managing a structured sales pipeline.
  • Proficient in the use of CRM systems together with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while contributing positively to team objectives.
  • Adaptable, proactive and committed to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Results-focused with a strong commitment to achieving both individual and team goals.
  • An understanding of quality standards and compliance processes would be advantageous.

About You:

  • Previous experience within healthcare, medical sales or a related industry would be an advantage but is not essential.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • A motivated self-starter who enjoys working independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues.
  • Commercially minded with excellent problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, particularly over the telephone.
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and developing long-term customer relationships.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and CRM systems. Experience using SAP Business One would be beneficial.
