Scope
- The Software Developer supports the delivery of assignedenhancements of the Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee (OPGT)Modernization program, including functionality intentionally sequenced beyondthe Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
- Working as part of an integrated development andintegrations team comprising internal and vendor resources, the role isresponsible for implementing configurations, customizations, and integrations withinMicrosoft Dynamics 365 and supporting systems. The Software Developertranslates approved technical designs and user stories into tested, deployablesolutions in alignment with established architecture, security, and developmentstandards.
Assignment Deliverables
The Software Developer will be responsible for deliveringthe following outputs in support of assigned enhancements of the OPGTModernization program:
Dynamics 365 Configuration and Customization:
- Design, develop, and implement configurations, extensions,and custom components within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE)and related modules.
Integration and Data Flow Components:
- Implement and support integrations between MicrosoftDynamics 365, enterprise systems, and external applications using approvedintegration patterns and tools.
Tested and Production Ready Solutions:
- Produce unit tested, performant, and maintainable code thatmeets quality, security, and operational standards.
Testing and Defect Resolution Support:
- Support system, integration, and user acceptance testing byresolving defects, validating data accuracy, and addressing technical issues.
Deployment and Stabilization Support:
- Participate in deployment activities and provide technicalsupport during post go live stabilization to ensure solution reliability.
Documentation and Knowledge Transfer:
- Contribute to technical documentation and provide knowledgetransfer to support ongoing operations and long term solution sustainability.
Requirements
Experience and Skill Set Requirements:
Must Haves:
- 5+years of experience developing and supporting enterprise applications,including Microsoft Dynamics365 Customer Engagement (CE).
- Provenexperience implementing configurations, customizations, and integrationswithin complex enterprise environments.
- Experiencesupporting iterative or enhancement‑driven delivery approaches, includingpost‑Minimum Viable Product (MVP) solution evolution.
- Experienceworking within structured governance and security frameworks.
- Strongproblem‑solving, documentation, and communication skills, with the abilityto collaborate effectively within technical delivery teams.
- Demonstratedexperience working with Microsoft Dynamics365 Finance & Operations(F&O), particularly in integration or data‑interaction contexts, isstrongly preferred.
Skill Set Requirements:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technicalcapability and hands on experience within enterprise application environments:
Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform:
- Experience developing, configuring, and extending MicrosoftDynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) solutions.
- Knowledge of Power Platform components, including Power Appsand Power Automate.
- Understanding of Dataverse, platform extensibility, andintegration capabilities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O), including exposure to integrations, data structures, orconfiguration concepts, is considered an asset.
Application Development and Integration:
- Strong experience with C#, JavaScript, Power FX, and relateddevelopment technologies.
- Experience implementing integrations and data flows acrossenterprise systems.
- Understanding of data validation, transformation, andperformance considerations.
Cloud and DevOps Concepts:
- Familiarity with Azure based application hosting andintegration concepts.
- Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices in enterprisedelivery environments.
Collaboration and Delivery:
- Experience working in cross functional delivery teamscomprising internal and vendor resources.
- Ability to follow approved architecture standards, securitypractices, and development guidelines.
Dynamics 365 Configuration, Customization & Development Experience:
Demonstrated hands on experience designing, developing,configuring, and extending Microsoft Dynamics365 Customer Engagement (CE)solutions within enterprise IT environments, including:
- Experience implementing Dynamics365 CE configurations andcustomizations, such as:
- forms, views, and dashboards
- workflows, business rules, and process automation
- security roles and data access configurations
- Development of custom components, plug ins, or extensionswithin Dynamics365 CE using appropriate technologies, such as:
- C# / .NET
- JavaScript
- Power Fx (where applicable)
- Practical experience working with the Dynamics365 platformand Dataverse, including:
- entity structure and relationships
- data handling, validation, and integrity
- platform extensibility capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to translate approved technical designsand user stories into functional, tested solution components in alignment withestablished architecture, security, and development standards.
- Experience enhancing or modifying existing Dynamics365 CEsolutions in post MVP or enhancement driven delivery phases, rather thangreenfield development only.
- Demonstrated experience working in solution environmentswhere Dynamics365 CE integrates with other enterprise systems, includingintegration adjacent exposure to Finance & Operations (F&O) datastructures, functional concepts, or integration touchpoints.
Integration & Data Flow Implementation Experience:
Demonstrated experience implementing and supportingintegrations and data flows between Microsoft Dynamics365 Customer Engagement(CE) and other enterprise systems, including:
- Experience implementing integration components that connectDynamics365 CE with:
- enterprise systems
- external or third party applications
- supporting platforms or services
- Practical experience working with data flows and interfaces,including:
- data ingestion, transformation, and movement
- handling inbound and outbound data exchanges
- basic understanding of synchronous and asynchronousintegration behavior
- Experience supporting integration scenarios involvingFinance & Operations (F&O), including:
- exposure to F&O related data structures or functionalconcepts
- troubleshooting or supporting CE–F&O integrationtouchpoints (deep F&O development is not required)
- Familiarity with approved enterprise integration patternsand tools, such as:
- API based integrations
- service based or event driven approaches
- batch or scheduled data processing, where applicable
- Experience implementing or supporting integrations usingAzure based integration or data platform components (e.g., integrationservices, data pipelines, security and identity considerations) at adevelopment or support level.
Quality, Testing & Production Readiness:
Demonstrated experience producing tested, production readysoftware solutions within enterprise IT environments, including:
- Experience developing and delivering unit tested andmaintainable code, ensuring solutions meet functional, performance, and qualityexpectations.
- Practical experience supporting system testing, integrationtesting, and user acceptance testing (UAT) by:
- analyzing and resolving defects
- validating data accuracy and solution behavior
- addressing technical issues identified during testing
- Experience supporting deployment, go live, and postdeployment stabilization activities, including troubleshooting issues inproduction or near production environments.
- Awareness of production readiness considerations, such as:
- error handling and logging
- performance and scalability impacts
- operational supportability and maintainability
- Experience working in delivery environments where qualityand security standards must be met prior to release, including adherence todefined testing and release processes.
Development Practices, Collaboration & StandardsAdherence:
Demonstrated experience working within structured enterprisedelivery environments, adhering to established development practices,standards, and collaborative team models, including:
- Experience following approved architecture, coding, andsecurity standards when implementing solution components, rather than definingthose standards.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices in enterpriseenvironments, such as:
- participating in build and release pipelines
- using version control systems
- supporting automated deployment or testing processes
