The Senior Accountant will play an important role in supporting accurate and timely financial reporting, strengthening accounting processes, and collaborating across the organization to support the continued growth and success of Natural Forces.

Key Responsibilities
- Accounting Operations & Financial Reporting Manage and actively participate in day-to-day accounting activities across multiple entities, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Prepare journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, financial statements, working papers, and supporting schedules. Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and investigate and resolve discrepancies and variances.
- Financial Analysis & Cash Flow Perform financial and variance analysis to identify trends, issues, and opportunities and provide meaningful insights to management. Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts and support cash management activities across the organization.
- Tax, Audit & Compliance Prepare sales tax filings and supporting documentation in accordance with statutory requirements. Support external audits, reviews, tax filings, and other financial reporting and compliance requirements. Ensure accounting activities adhere to applicable accounting standards, internal controls, and organizational policies.
- Systems & Process Improvement Maintain and enhance Sage Intacct processes, controls, and reporting capabilities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. Identify and implement opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and internal controls.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Project teams, and other internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial information and effective resolution of accounting matters. Provide accounting guidance and support to internal stakeholders and contribute to a collaborative, solutions-oriented Finance team.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Accounting designation preferred; candidates actively enrolled in the CPA program and nearing completion will also be considered.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a multi-company or multi-entity financial reporting environment.
- Experience preparing financial statements, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for financial reporting purposes.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and the full accounting cycle, including general ledger management, reconciliations, accruals, intercompany transactions, and month-end/year-end close.
- Experience preparing financial statements, financial reporting packages, working papers, supporting schedules, and financial analysis.
- Proven ability to analyze complex financial and operational information, identify key issues and trends, and develop practical solutions.
- Strong understanding of internal controls and accounting processes, with the ability to identify gaps and recommend improvements.
- Experience with cash flow forecasting, financial reporting, and supporting audit, tax, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with accounting systems; experience with Sage Intacct is considered an asset, along with above-average Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis, reporting, and financial modelling.
