Overview

In this role you will lead agile delivery of robotics automation projects within HMRC, guiding development teams to meet milestones and live service targets. You will coach staff, manage risks, and align with stakeholders to translate a vision into actionable roadmaps and sprint plans. You’ll partner across teams to remove blockers, drive continuous improvement, and ensure high-quality automation solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Enable developers to advance the robotics backlog with design, development, testing and delivery of automation solutions using agile methods; track sprint metrics
  • Remove impediments to smooth development and delivery
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand goals and secure buy-in for the roadmap
  • Collaborate with other product managers to define roadmaps and translate them into user stories and sprint plans
  • Facilitate sprint planning, checkpoint calls, reviews and retrospectives; mentor project members in Agile practices
  • Foster continuous improvement by creating a safe environment for honest feedback and by boosting capability and quality of automation
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, suppliers and third parties
  • Resource and operate Live Service Support models with Live Services team, optimizing live solutions for benefits and efficiency
  • Manage end-to-end delivery with cross-team dependencies and a forward view of technical risks
  • Promote test-driven development and maintain regular progress updates with customers and project managers
  • Be a visible leader across CDIO CSG and contribute to a collaborative team culture
  • Support recruitment, community of practice participation, and role modelling energy and engagement
  • Demonstrate delivery of automated change across multi-delivery teams
Key requirements
  • Proven track record in agile delivery using NICE software and Microsoft Office products
  • Experience solving problems within a service/product/process and delivering positive outcomes
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience delivering automation change across multi-delivery teams
  • Understanding of Robotics and Automation technologies
  • Ability to visualise, articulate and solve complex problems using analytics/data
  • Experience driving automated continuous improvement based on user feedback
  • Ability to prioritise requests by value and guide action to move work forward
