RN Director of Nursing

Life Care Centers is seeking a dedicated RN Director of Nursing to provide strategic clinical leadership and day-to-day oversight of nursing services within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. As a key leader in our senior living and rehabilitation community, you will ensure that our patient-first philosophy is reflected in every aspect of care, supporting residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members in a compassionate, family-focused environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all nursing operations to ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. You will oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of individualized care plans, ensuring that nursing interventions support optimal clinical outcomes and reflect our commitment to dignity and respect for each resident. Working closely with physicians, therapists, social services, and other healthcare professionals, you will coordinate comprehensive, person-centered care for residents across the continuum of services.

The RN Director of Nursing will lead, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other clinical team members. You will manage recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and ongoing competency development, fostering a team-based culture where collaboration, open communication, and professional growth are prioritized. By setting clear expectations, providing coaching and feedback, and recognizing excellence, you will cultivate an engaged nursing team dedicated to exceptional care.

A critical aspect of this position is ensuring ongoing readiness for state and federal surveys and maintaining full compliance with all applicable regulations, standards, and internal policies. You will monitor clinical documentation, infection prevention practices, medication administration, and resident safety initiatives, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing targeted quality improvement projects. Through continuous data review and performance monitoring, you will drive initiatives that enhance clinical outcomes, reduce rehospitalizations, and improve resident satisfaction.

You will also collaborate with leadership on budgeting, staffing models, and resource allocation to support safe staffing levels and efficient operations. This includes evaluating acuity needs, adjusting assignments, and aligning nursing workflows with best practices in long-term care and rehabilitation. By effectively managing resources and supporting evidence-based practice, you will help sustain a stable, high-performing clinical environment.
