Following a successful 2026, they are seeking an experienced Retail Department Manager with a background in high-volume, big-box retail or DIY.

Located on a 30 mins drive from Lucan and 20 mins drive from Newbridge, Clane and surrounding areas, easily accessible from N7 road.This is a hands-on leadership role in a busy retail environment. You'll be responsible for working on the shop floor, helping with stock displays, moving heavier items when needed, and keeping the store looking its best. The client has great opportunities in store for the candidates who are proficient and well informed about retail market and have a proven record of successfully generating more sales as the part of the management.

Responsibilities ofRetail Department Manager Co. Kildare

• Support senior management in achieving sales targets and maintaining high store standards.
• Ensure company policies and procedures are followed by the team.
• Manage stock levels and inventory, investigating any issues and supporting staff with best practices.
• Help drive sales through effective merchandising, promotions, and product displays.
• Lead, motivate, and support your team while managing schedules, stock, and customer feedback.
• Handle customer queries and complaints professionally.
• Support the smooth day-to-day running of the store, including opening and closing duties.
• Provide guidance and support to team members on performance and workplace matters.

Requirements forRetail Department Manager Co. Kildare

• 3-4 years of retail management experience, ideally a busy dynamic retail business
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team.
• Experience with stock control, sales performance, and retail systems.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Flexible to work management shifts, including openings and closes (typically between 9am and 9pm).
