Research Analyst

Role Overview: 

The Research Analyst will support investment sourcing, evaluation, documentation, execution, and post-investment operations.

The role involves collecting and evaluating investment proposals, conducting business and market research, preparing investor-ready pitch materials, coordinating with promoters, investors, and external service providers, and maintaining proper investment records and documentation.

Candidates with additional experience in investment operations, post-investment activities, record management, reporting, or portfolio coordination will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Collect, screen, and organize investment proposals across sectors.
• Analyze business models, financials, market data, and company information to support investment evaluation.
• Prepare investment teasers, pitch decks, and detailed investment memoranda.
• Coordinate with external vendors such as valuers, merchant bankers, legal advisors, and database providers.
• Liaise with promoters/owners to obtain business, financial, and operational information.
• Schedule and coordinate one-to-one meetings and video calls between promoter teams and investors.
• Maintain meeting calendars, minutes of meetings, and track deal progress.
• Maintain regular communication and follow-ups with promoters and investors.
• Maintain an organized database of proposals, contacts, and deal progress.
• Support senior team members in deal execution and investor communication.
• Maintain post-investment records, documentation, reports, and operational updates.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the investment lifecycle.
• Ensure timely follow-ups, documentation, and status updates across active proposals and investments.
• Support ongoing monitoring and coordination of investments after transaction closure.

Qualification and Skills:

• CA / CMA / MBA (Finance or Operations) – Mandatory
• Strong financial analysis and presentation skills.
• Good understanding of financial statements and business models.
• Familiarity with valuation concepts and investment analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Office.
• Strong research, documentation, and analytical skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and follow up independently.
• Strong attention to detail and structured working style.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment.

Preferred Experience:

• 1–3 years of experience in research, investment analysis, corporate finance, consulting, or a related field.
• Experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or corporate finance is preferred.
• Experience in investment operations or post-investment activities will be an added advantage.
• Experience in maintaining investment records, reporting, portfolio coordination, or transaction documentation will be preferred.
• Experience dealing with promoters, founders, investors, or senior management.
• Candidates with additional relevant experience may be considered based on their overall profile.
