Position Summary
Exciting opportunity to join a well-established company as a skilled Repair Technician with expertise in electronics and mechanical systems. You will diagnose, repair, calibrate, and maintain a diverse range of plastic welding tools and testing equipment. This dynamic hybrid role blends hands-on technical work with estimation and sales support, giving you the chance to build strong client relationships, provide expert advice, and deliver tailored solutions that meet our customers’ needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide variety of Plastic Welding Tools and associated electronic and mechanical equipment.
- Prepare detailed repair quotations, including parts, labour, and lead-times.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain diagnostics, repair options, and costs.
- Support the quoting process by evaluating incoming equipment or customer specs.
- Maintain accurate records of service work, quotes, and parts used.
- Collaborate with the sales and service teams to follow up on open quotes and customer inquiries.
- Adhere to safety protocols, certification standards, and internal quality guidelines.
Qualifications
- Technical Certification in Electronics, Mechatronics or related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of hands‑on repair experience (electronics, mechanical or both).
- Proven experience preparing or assisting with technical sales quotes.
- Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.
- Familiarity with test tools, hand tools, and technical schematics.
- Proficiency with MS Office and quoting or ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and customer‑service focused.
Preferred
- Previous experience with both power tools and electronics.
- Background in industrial, medical, or commercial equipment repair.
