You’ll work across a varied mix of residential, commercial and industrial sites, carrying out installations, servicing, fault-finding and repairs. No two days will be exactly the same - and you’ll have the opportunity to use your technical skills, solve real problems and deliver work you’re proud to put your name to.

What you’ll be doing

In this hands-on role, you will:

  • Install, maintain and repair air conditioning and heat pump systems
  • Work across residential, commercial and industrial sites
  • Diagnose HVAC faults using gauges, thermometers and other diagnostic tools
  • Read and interpret mechanical, electrical and refrigeration schematics
  • Complete work safely, neatly and in line with Australian standards
  • Explain faults, recommended solutions and service costs clearly to customers
  • Identify out-of-scope work requiring a variation or quotation
  • Collaborate with other technicians and trades on project installations
  • Maintain accurate job records, timesheets and photo documentation using field-based software
  • Organise job-specific materials through preferred suppliers
  • Support, coach and supervise air conditioning apprentices
  • Represent the business professionally through your workmanship, communication and site conduct

What you’ll bring

We’d like to hear from you if you have:

  • Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
  • Strong installation, servicing and fault-finding skills
  • A sound understanding of refrigeration, electrical and safety standards
  • Clear communication skills and a professional approach with customers
  • The ability to work independently and contribute to a team
  • Pride in delivering reliable, high-quality workmanship
  • Confidence using digital job-management tools, or the willingness to learn
  • A current Police Check and Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain them

A dual air conditioning and electrical trade qualification will be highly regarded, but it isn’t essential.

Third-and fourth-year apprentices are also encouraged to apply.
