About the job Registered Respiratory Therapist SUMMARY: Responsible and accountable for the set up and operation of various types of Respiratory Therapy equipment to be utilized in patient assessment, diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease and/or illness. JOB REQUIREMENTS Education: High School Diploma or GED, Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Therapy program. Experience: 1 year acute care experience preferred License/Certification: Current Arkansas Respiratory License in good standing.

Registered by the NBRC or eligible by being a graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Therapy program. BLS required. Preferred Education: Associates Degree, ACLS certification, ACCS certification, PALS, NRP Safety Sensitive Designation: This position is deemed safety sensitive in accordance with Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana.

Must have the ability to move about freely and stand and walk for extended periods of time, respond quickly to emergencies, occassionally bend, squat, and twist, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and push and/or pull rolling equipment up to 400 pounds using proper body mechanics. Will spend eight hours or more in front of computer, monitor or similar screen utilizing keyboard and/or mouse. Must have a keen sense of hearing and visual acuity.

Must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure. Work Environment : Clinical setting in hospital environment for both inpatients and outpatients Required Citizenship / Work Permit / Visa Status US Citizenship Required Must-Haves Minimum 1 Year exp as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) BLS required License: Current Arkansas Respiratory License in good standing. High School Diploma or GED, Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Therapy program.
