This client is at Young and Steeles, at home, and requires an experienced nurse to do nursing tasks, such as tracheostomy, G-tube feeds, Oxygen care, etc.. These are 12-hour shifts in the client's home. The activities are conducted in accordance with the College of Nurses of Ontario, and Qualicare's policies and procedures. You must have no less than 2 years of experience with tasks specified. Job Duties/Responsibilities: Responsibilities of the nursing role include, but are not limited to the following: Strong physical assessment skills required Ability to perform the clinical duties of the job (e.g., experience in respiratory nursing including tracheostomy care, and oxygen therapy a must) Airway Management (Tracheostomy, CPAP) G-Tube Feeding Oxygen Care Patient and family-focused care philosophy experience preferred Minimum 2 years related experience Current registration with the RPNO or CNO Must have First Aid/CPR Membership with your professional associate preferred(RNAO) Good communication and documentation skills Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
