Overview
In this role you will provide safe, compassionate care for pre- and post-operative orthopaedic patients in ADCU, working within a supportive MDT to deliver high-quality, patient-centred outcomes. You will help coordinate care from admission to discharge, contributing to robust clinical pathways and continuous improvement. The position offers exposure to a range of orthopaedic and oncology procedures, with a focus on effective communication, escalation when needed, and delivering timely nursing support in a fast-paced environment.

- Provide safe care for pre- and post-operative orthopaedic patients
- Escalate concerns appropriately
- Administer medications and manage pain per NMC guidance and local policy
- Communicate effectively with patients and staff
- Coordinate care with ward-based therapy teams
- Facilitate ward-based investigations and procedures

- NMC PIN Nurse Associate
- Previous or current hospital experience
- Evidence of ongoing professional development
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and early identification of deterioration (e.g., NEWS2)
- Experience in caring for a group of patients
- Understanding of pain management, wound care, and recovery
- Safeguarding principles knowledge
- UK Registration
