Position Overview IWK Health, a respected academic health sciences centre located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is looking for a Registered Nurse to work in the Women’s Ambulatory Clinics. This is a permanent full‑time position with the start date of ASAP. Position Details Company: IWK Health Role: Registered Nurse – Women’s Ambulatory Clinics Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada Start Date: ASAP Employment Type: Permanent Full‑time Application Deadline: April 11, 2026 (applications accepted until 23:59 Atlantic Time) Opportunity Reporting to the Manager, Women’s Ambulatory Clinics, the Registered Nurse is mainly responsible for the application of current knowledge and services to women, specifically in General Gynaecology, Uro‑Gynaecology, Reproductive Endocrine, and Breast Health.

The role may be reassigned within the Childbirth and Women’s Health Care Team and requires flexibility and willingness to cross‑train within the team. Hours of Work Monday‑Friday; 7.5‑hour day shift Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required (equivalent experience and education will be considered). Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing (NSCN) required.

Recent (within 12 months) completion of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada Basic Life Support (BLS) Program or a BLS Renewal Challenge Certificate required. History of recent interview and health assessment skills required. Ability to teach on a one‑to‑one basis required.

Demonstrated experience assisting physicians with minor procedures required. Uro‑dynamics experience an asset. Recent experience and knowledge of women’s health issues required.

Recent experience and knowledge of breast health issues required. Experience in other areas of the Childbirth and Women’s Health Care Team such as OR, PACU, day surgery, pre‑admission, or post‑operative surgical unit considered an asset. Competency in other languages considered an asset.
