Registered Nurse

Mission Care has provided residential and nursing care to vulnerable adults with mental, physical and social care needs in South London for over 110 years, and prides itself on providing exceptional person-centred care to all residents. This role is based at Elmwood Nursing Home, with night shifts.

Responsibilities Be responsible for supervising the care of residents — developing, implementing and regularly reviewing individual care plans. Work as part of a team alongside colleagues to deliver best practice at all times. Ensure a person-centred approach to care, maximising the independence, individuality and choice of individual residents.

Assess the needs of individual residents and identify any issues or problems, referring them to the General Practitioner or other multi-disciplinary team. Promote an environment that encourages learning and continual professional development as part of enhancing clinical nursing skills. Assist with the assessment of referrals both in hospital and at the home, playing an active role in welcoming new residents to their new home.

Maintain personal clinical development, practising in accordance with NMC guidelines and directives. Contribute to the effective leadership of staff.
