Job Description Using the nursing process, assess the resident’s physical, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and social needs; formulate a nursing diagnosis; plan, implement, and evaluate care.

Coordinate the management of care for all residents in accordance with professional nursing practice, provincial, and regional standards. Responsibilities Actively promote the facility’s philosophy as a member of the multidisciplinary team. Assume accountability and leadership as a Team Leader for total resident care.

Coordinate delivery of individualized resident/client care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Administer medications, apply treatments, and perform assessments. Assign tasks to care aides, licensed practical nurses, students, preceptors and ensure completion.

Maintain complete and accurate records using the nursing process. Participate in the orientation of new staff. Assist with research projects as required.

Participate in health education programs for residents, relatives, and staff. Promote all established policies and procedures to staff, residents, and visitors. Participate in continuous quality improvement processes.

Participate in committee work as appropriate. Maintain current knowledge of professional practice through literature review, educational programs, and involvement in professional groups. Assume in‑charge/Team Leader responsibility as required.

Attend care conferences, present nursing assessments, recommend interactions to the multidisciplinary team, and develop resident care plans. Provide input to the Clinical Nurse Lead about program policies, nursing care audits, and quality improvement activities. Complete incident reports and follow‑up actions, and forward reports to the Director of Care through the Clinical Nurse Lead.

Maintain liaison with clinical instructors from external training programs and monitor student performance. Collect, compile, and report statistical and quality improvement data. Perform other related duties as assigned.

MDS/AIS Education and Experience Graduate of an approved School of Nursing. Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP). Current certificate in CPR.

Experience in long‑term care or community‑based programs preferred (minimum 3 years). Ability to undergo applicable screening and background checks and provide an original copy of a background check screening. Skills and Abilities Demonstrated leadership ability.

Effective verbal and written communication. Physical ability to perform duties of the position. Knowledge of community and facility health‑care systems serving geriatric residents.

Ability to operate related equipment. Aware of licensing requirements and infection control standards. Compensation The target hiring range is $41.42 to $48.67 per hour, with a maximum of $55.91.
