Job Description
Yarrawonga Health is looking for a Registered Nurse Immuniser to join our Clinical Services team as our Staff Health Nurse, on a temporary part-time basis (8 hours per week) for a 6-month period.
In this role, you'll run our staff vaccination clinic, support infection prevention and control (IPC) activities, and help keep our workforce health.
About the role
- Deliver a comprehensive staff vaccination clinic in line with the Australian Immunisation Handbook
- Help implement the annual Staff Health Plan to meet immunisation targets and wellness objectives
- Support aged care vaccination clinics in partnership with IPC and local GP clinics
- Develop and run the annual influenza campaign
- Assist with outbreak investigation and management, and infection control education across the organisation
- Provide support to the IPC team in Hand Hygiene auditing

Essential
- Registered Nurse (Division 1) with a minimum of 3 years' clinical experience
- Accreditation as a Registered Nurse Immuniser
Desirable
- Accreditation as a prescribed person for HIV and Hepatitis C pre/post-test counselling
- Availability during the influenza campaign period (March–August)
- Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Confident computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, data entry and basic analysis)
- Organised, autonomous work practices
- Experience planning, developing and evaluating projects
- Experience in staff or community education
- Qualified r Hand Hygiene Auditor
