Job Summary Seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. In this role you will provide the best possible preventative and supportive intra-operative care to each patient based upon their individual needs.
If that is you, come be a part of what makes us great and apply today! Responsibilities You will be responsible for the general well‑being of the patient during the operative period. You will act as the patient advocate, reviewing the operative permit to ensure correctness of procedure.
Functions as a member of the surgical team. You will supervise care of the OR suite and equipment to ensure cleanliness, sterility, operation and availability of all necessary supplies and equipment and assist in opening sterile supplies. You will prepare patient physically, mentally, and emotionally for the surgical procedure and anticipate patient care needs during the procedure.
You will verify identification of patient according to person, chart, and ID band. You will maintain awareness of the OR schedule to ensure patient flow. Ensure timely turnover of room for next case.
You will assist the anesthesia provider as required. You will document and maintain patient record and chart to ensure an accurate record of medical treatment. Qualifications Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Associate’s degree in nursing or higher. BSN preferred.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an acute care OR setting or surgical center. ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required. BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
