Registered Nurse (RN) - Cath Lab

POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for assigned nursing roles in the Cath Lab including Holding and Recovery; gives direct and indirect care as indicated by patient condition; works with patients from adolescents to geriatrics. Supervises subordinates to ensure patient safety standards are attained. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1 year in critical care, ED or OR PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Cardiac Cath Lab or Special Procedures experience REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: NA REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): - Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire - AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role.
