Job Description
Base pay range $54.70/hr - $56.40/hr Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled professional to join our team. This role does not require on‑call duties and offers variable start times, with the latest being 11:00 AM. The schedule consists of four 10‑hour shifts from Monday to Friday.
Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience Certifications: CA RN License ACLS BLS Unit Information This position involves working in the Same Day Surgery/PreOp Patients unit and requires floating between PACU and Same Day Surgery (Phase I and Phase II areas). Job Duties Manage nursing care to ensure competent, compassionate, and cost‑effective patient care from admission to discharge. Ensure patient safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection while performing disease prevention and restorative measures.
Respond to medical and environmental emergencies efficiently and competently. Job Accountabilities Provide patient care in accordance with unit, department, and hospital policies, ensuring safety and maintaining a safe environment. Plan and coordinate care delivery to maximize efficiency, serving as a liaison between nursing and medical staff to facilitate collaborative patient care.
Coordinate involvement of patient, physician, family, and other health team members to manage care and resources effectively. Set priorities and initiate emergency interventions calmly and efficiently. Exercise clinical judgment and critical thinking, administering treatments and medications timely.
Maintain current knowledge of patient care status and ensure physicians are informed of significant changes. Analyze and integrate patient acuity levels accurately and timely. Assessment Conduct initial and ongoing assessments, considering biophysical, psychosocial, spiritual, environmental, self‑care, educational, and discharge planning factors.
Complete nursing assessments within 24 hours of admission and ensure individualized goal‑directed care. Observe and interpret patients' physical condition and behavior, identifying and documenting acuity levels. Identify and monitor patients at risk, implementing precautions to reduce risks and avoid events.
Evaluate and re‑evaluate the effectiveness of the care plan, modifying as appropriate with collaboration. Planning Develop the patient's plan of care in collaboration with the patient, family, physician, and other disciplines. Implement timely interventions based on patient/family interviews, observations, and consultations.
Document and communicate patient assessments, plans of care, outcomes, and other pertinent information. Evaluate and re‑evaluate the effectiveness/outcomes of the care plan, modifying and initiating follow‑up activities as needed.
