Join the Assertive Community Outreach Team (ACOS) and play a vital role in supporting people living with severe and persistent mental illness to achieve recovery and improved wellbeing within their community. As part of Mental Health, Justice Health and Alcohol and Drug Services (MHJHADS), you will work within a highly skilled multidisciplinary team delivering recovery-focused, person-centred care across the ACT.

This rewarding role involves providing clinical management, supporting consumers receiving clozapine treatment, and partnering with families, carers and community agencies to achieve positive outcomes. Based at the City Community Health Centre, much of your work will involve outreach across the ACT, supporting consumers who require intensive follow-up and engagement.

ACOS operates 7 days per week from 8:30am to 9:00pm, with staff participating in a full rotating roster to provide flexible and responsive care when it is needed most.

Please note prior to commencement successful candidates will be required to:

Note: This is a full-time temporary position available for a period of six to 12 months with possibility of extension and/or permanency.

Note: Under the ACTPS employment framework you may be placed in another role where required for the efficient administration of the service.
