Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology (Hiring Immediately)

Requirements: - CA RN license - BLS (AHA) and PALS - 1 year IR RN experience - Some PEDS experience Shift: 4 x 10 Days 0900-1930 Call Requirements: 2 call shifts/ week; up to 4 call shifts per week as needed if census permits *flu vaccination required* Job Description: The Advanced Imaging Nurse is an advanced level of clinical nursing practice achieved through planned individualized programs for increasing knowledge, skills, professionalism, & clinical nursing judgment. Responsible for independently applying the nursing process through the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation & documentation of pediatric patient care within diagnostic imaging and advanced imaging such as advanced Interventional Radiology and/or Interventional Cardiac MRI. Provides care to high acuity patients and assist with complex procedures within the IR suite and at bedside utilizing sterile technique with the interventionalist and/or patients undergoing cardiac stress testing in the MRI with medication, more complex MRI procedures for fetal, lymphangiography procedures and pacemaker studies within MRI.

Selects & administers the appropriate care, taking into consideration the age, developmental level, and size of the patient. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health & healing. Able to identify limitations of self and/or other clinical staff & seek & mobilize resources as needed.
