Unit Summary Diagnostic Services supports a high volume of diverse adult and pediatric patients and families, providing service within Radiology, CT Scan, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PET, Ultrasound and Interventional. Most areas within this Unit function 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Position Summary As a member of a Multidisciplinary Health Care team, the Registered Nurse coordinates, performs and evaluates interventional diagnostic radiology examinations and provides patient care to meet the clients and family needs with the core values of respect, caring, innovation and accountability.

Guides and directs clinical and technical associates in a teaching and research environment and functions independently with diverse, complex patient populations and procedures in all areas of Diagnostic Services. Rotation through all modalities and sites based on qualifications and unit requirements may be required. Schedule Days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays (standby as required) Qualifications Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse Current BCLS registration ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) or willingness to certify Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or willingness to certify if applying at a site which specializes in pediatric patients 1 year recent (within 2 years) experience in critical care or emergency room nursing 1 year recent (within 2 years) experience in Procedural Room or Operating Room nursing Port‑Cath and Central Line Access certified PACU and/or assessment component of the critical care course Demonstrated effective communication, organization and interpersonal skills Effective problem solving skills, critical thinking and ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced clinical environment Evidence of participation in ongoing education & professional development Demonstrated ability to work responsibly in a team environment Within 30 minutes for call to site Hamilton Health Sciences is an equal opportunity employer and we will accommodate any needs under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedom, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and the Ontario Human Rights Code.
