Registered Nurse ER | Cape Girardeau, Missouri

This opportunity seeks a registered nurse with Emergency Department experience to provide skilled nursing care in a fast-paced clinical decision unit. Ideal candidates will coordinate, plan, and implement nursing processes to promote optimal patient outcomes in a medical-surgical environment. Location Position is located in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at a well-equipped medical unit supporting a 25-bed Emergency Department with an average daily patient flow of 70-80.

The facility uses EPIC for electronic medical records, enhancing clinical workflow and patient data management. Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care in the Emergency Department Clinical Decision Unit Coordinate and manage nursing processes for medical-surgical patients Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR Adhere to hospital policies, dress code (black scrubs required), and safety standards Float as customary within the unit to support varying patient care needs Qualifications/Experience Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 1 year of Emergency Department experience Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Strong teamwork, communication, and patient-centered care skills Ability to work variable 12-hour shifts with approximately 36 guaranteed weekly hours Flexibility to work weekends as needed Schedule/Hours Variable 3x12 hour shifts (specific schedule to be discussed during interview) Estimated 36 hours per week guaranteed Weekend hours as required This contract role aligns well with nurses seeking to apply ER expertise in a supportive, patient-focused unit.
