Job Description
Supplemental Health Care has partnered with a school in Buffalo, NY to find a Registered Nurse/CTE Certified CNA Educator. This Registered Nurse will serve as an Instructor for our Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) training program. The RN Instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction that prepares students to provide safe, compassionate, and competent patient care.
This role requires a strong clinical background in assisted living, as well as a passion for teaching and mentoring future healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities: Instruction & Curriculum Delivery Deliver classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction in accordance with state-approved CNA curriculum Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and evaluation tools Ensure course content meets all regulatory and accreditation standards Student Engagement & Evaluation Assess student performance through written exams, skills testing, and clinical evaluations Provide timely feedback, guidance, and remediation as needed Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress Clinical Supervision Supervise students in clinical settings, ensuring safe and effective patient care practices Coordinate with assisted living facilities and clinical partners Evaluate student competency in real-world care environments Program Compliance & Administration Ensure compliance with state, federal, and institutional regulations governing CNA programs Participate in program reviews, audits, and continuous improvement efforts Maintain required documentation and reports Professional Development & Collaboration Stay current with best practices in nursing and healthcare education Collaborate with faculty, administration, and clinical partners Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and program development initiatives Requirements Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience in an assisted living setting Current Career and Technical Education (CTE) Teaching Certificate (or eligibility to obtain within required timeframe) Where Caring Hearts Thrive: At Supplemental Health Care, a simple belief in the power of caring guides a unique commitment to world-class service in healthcare staffing.
