Registered General Nurse and Registered Mental Nurse We are seeking a Registered General Nurse and Registered Mental Nurse for our nursing home, an 80-bed facility located in the Bradford area, BD3. The position requires 36 hours per week on day shifts (12-hour shift). Paired with paid breaks, the pay rate is £22 per hour.

No sponsorship provided. The care home offers residential care and nursing care for frail and elderly community members as well as those with dementia. It offers 80 en‑suite rooms and a fully staffed 24‑hour nursing team that provides specialised support and person‑centred care.

Responsibilities Assess, plan and deliver nursing care with the patient, carer/family, recognising patient choice and wishes, acting as the named nurse. Accurately observe and engage with patients to assess needs and evaluate progress. Monitor and review nursing care plans.

Evaluate and respond to changes in patient condition. Deal proactively with suggestions and complaints from patients and families/carrers. Contribute to a team approach to patient care with the multidisciplinary team.

Participate in regular clinical and non‑clinical meetings and attend other meetings as requested. Prioritise nursing duties, delegate appropriately, and work as nurse in charge when required, ensuring a safe environment. Maintain a professional relationship with patients, colleagues and visitors, responding promptly and courteously.

Promote and maintain an environment conducive to meeting needs of patients and carers. Participate in clinical supervision and reflective practice at least monthly. Work in accordance with safeguarding policies for adults and children.

Ensure compliance with the Mental Health, Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Standards. Plan, implement and supervise quality care provision. Maintain required medical documentation.

Uphold residents’ rights to privacy, dignity and choice. Report any ill health among residents and request professional visits when necessary. Familiarise yourself with and adhere to company policy, procedure and Care Inspectorate guidelines.

Abide by the Nursing and Midwifery Councils code of professional conduct. Requirements Registered nurse with current NMC PIN. UK active PIN and at least 1 year of UK experience.

Desire to work with the elderly. Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills. Ability to supervise other staff comfortably.

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. Calm nature able to defuse challenging situations. Knowledge of admission and discharge processes.

Knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards. Ability to remain calm under high‑stress situations. Benefits Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications, £22 per hour.
