About the role As a Registered Nurse with Southern Cross Care Queensland, you will join a highly skilled and compassionate team dedicated to delivering exceptional, person-centred care to our residents. Working under the leadership of an experienced Clinical Manager, you will provide advanced clinical and holistic care while supporting residents to achieve the best possible quality of life. You will provide guidance, support and supervision to your team members, fostering a collaborative approach to delivering high-quality care.

Working closely with medical practitioners, residents, families and the broader multidisciplinary team, you will help ensure the delivery of safe, personalised and evidence-based care. Above all, you will combine your clinical expertise with genuine compassion and empathy, building meaningful relationships with residents founded on dignity, respect and trust, while making a positive difference in their everyday lives.

What will you bring to the role?

  • You will be an RN with a current AHPRA registration
  • You will have a strong clinical focus with the ability to provide a high level of holistic support that best suits the individual
  • Knowledge of chronic conditions, palliative and dementia care (desired)
  • You are dedicated to caring for older people to live their best lives
  • You enjoy working in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and outstanding communication skills
  • Ability to work night shifts (desirable)
