Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry Unit Type: Telemetry (MedSurg/Tele mix) Facility: Mercy Hospital Southwest Location: Bakersfield, CA 93311 Assignment Length: 13 Weeks Start Date: January 20, 2026 Shift: Days | 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week Responsibilities Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to telemetry and MedSurg patients Interpret and monitor cardiac rhythms (Client monitors) Administer set-rate cardiac drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin) Perform medication administration and patient education, including side effects Participate in bedside shift reports and intentional hourly rounding Scheduling & Requirements • Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule o Days: Saturday/Sunday o Nights: Friday/Saturday • Holiday Requirement: 1 major and 1 minor holiday minimum • Floating: o Travelers are first to float o May float to other MS/Tele units, ICU (for MS/Tele patients), ER (holds), or Mercy Downtown (6.5 miles away) • Call: call required as per needed
