Discounts with Retailers - Nationwide Job Objectives The primary objective of the Regional Nurse - General is to provide safe, high-quality and person-centred nursing care to the Residents in Nua Healthcare Services. Safe Administration and Management of Medication. Utilising nursing skills to support the delivery of effective frontline support to all Individuals. Support the development and implementation of Health Assessments, Medication plans and all supporting documents which outline the supports required for individuals, including; personal plans, epilepsy plans, diabetic plans etc.
Ensure that all Health Action Plans are delivered appropriately to all Individuals. Promote good relationships with primary health care services in each individual's community. Communicate and liaise with the multidisciplinary team.
Identify supports and work in partnership with the individual, their family and other supports as outlined within individual Personal Plans. Support Individuals with health appointments and follow through on recommendations. Maintain strict confidentiality in relation to Individuals.
Promote & nurture person centred planning using key worker systems and shared goal setting, maintaining confidentiality at all times. Support and promote maximum opportunities for community involvement for people who avail of the service. Deliver training as advised by management.
Assist the Person In Charge / Operations Manager in regard to compiling and presenting reports as required. Skills Requirement Essential Criteria : Be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI). Possess a recognised professional post-graduate relevant qualification. 3+ years post-registration nursing experience Desirable Criteria Knowledge of standards and legislation relevant to the area.
Experience across multiple centres/services would be a strong advantage. Experience with clinical governance, audits, care planning, incident management and regulatory compliance. Have up-to-date knowledge of HIQA regulations.
Experience of report writing personal support plans. Experience of working in a similar role Other requirements Genuine respect and empathy for diversity and individuality. Responsible and mature approach to work.
Experience of / with people with additional and/or complex needs Enthusiastic, proactive self-motivator who can provide holistic supports of the highest quality. Self-driven with proven record of achievement. The ability to adapt to new environments.
