Overview Purpose Statement/Position Summary The Registered Nurse II 10-Hr. in the Ambulatory Infusion Center, under general supervision, conducts patient assessments, participates in the development of the plan of care, implements and evaluates care according to patient specific age and/or developmental needs. Collaborates with other health care team members in the delivery of care.

Employee will follow applicable policies and procedures in handling supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment. RN to work in a team environment (RNs, MAs, PAs, MDs) to administer ordered infusion(s) (i.e. Blood products, Chemotherapy/Biologics, Research Medications, Gene Therapies, Cell Infusion, draw labs, access IV/CVC, change CVC caps/dressing, give Factor, subQ/IM injections, provide patient/family education, and provide return appointment schedule to family).

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience 1+ year experience as an RN. Pediatric experience preferred. Broad knowledge of patient care principles and equipment; CHLA patient care policies and procedures.

Ability to assess effectiveness of patient care; maintain a calm demeanor and assist in crises and emergencies; prioritize tasks for complex patient care; communicate tactfully, professionally and effectively, verbally and in writing. Education/Licensure/Certification BSN and PALS required from the American Heart Association. APHON Chemo Provider Card for all candidates required within 3 months of hire.

Nursing certification preferred. Schedule 4x10hr shifts, will work 2-3 Saturdays in a 6 week schedule Pay Scale Information $104,395.00-$171,506.00 CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education and experience within the job or the industry.

The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates who meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates who exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
