Requirements and Description Core Responsibilities Team Leadership: Lead a team of agents in ramp service duties, including coaching, mentoring, and counseling to enhance performance and safety compliance. Aircraft Marshalling: Guide aircraft in and out of gates for all arriving, departing, and towed flights. Baggage & Cargo Management: Direct the loading, unloading, sorting, and transfer of passenger baggage, airmail, and freight.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate ramp equipment, including bag tugs, belt loaders, aircraft tow tractors, and water/lavatory servicing vehicles. Safety Enforcement: Monitor and enforce safe working conditions per regulatory requirements and Unifi policies, reporting all incidents and potential hazards immediately. Aircraft Servicing: Oversee cabin cleaning, restocking of supplies, de-icing operations, and hazard inspections.
Qualifications Age: Minimum of 18 years. Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Documentation: Valid Driver's License and ability to obtain airport security credentials.
Experience: One year of relevant aviation or ground handling experience is typically preferred. Physical & Working Requirements Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 70 lbs frequently, as well as push, pull, reach, climb, and kneel constantly. Environment: Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including severe seasonal elements.
Scheduling: Flexibility for rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime. Benefits Flight privileges for employees and eligible family members after 30 days. Weekly pay for hourly employees (bi-weekly in CA).
