About the Role

We are seeking a Quantitative Research Analyst to drive data-driven investment strategies and portfolio optimization for our Wealth Management team. This role combines advanced quantitative modeling, statistical analysis, and investment research to generate sophisticated insights for HNI and UHNI portfolios.


The position involves developing analytical frameworks, building predictive models, conducting factor-based analysis, and supporting Wealth Advisors with quantitative recommendations across Mutual Funds, Equities, PMS, AIFs, Bonds, and alternative investment strategies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop & Implement Quantitative Models – Build and maintain portfolio optimization models, factor models, and risk assessment frameworks using statistical methodologies and machine learning techniques.
  • Statistical Analysis & Backtesting – Design, backtest, and validate trading strategies and rebalancing algorithms; conduct hypothesis testing and statistical significance analysis on portfolio recommendations.
  • Market & Sector Quantitative Research – Build predictive models for market trends, sector rotation strategies, and relative value analysis; develop quantitative thematic research across asset classes.
  • Big Data & Time Series Analysis – Process large datasets, perform time series forecasting, conduct correlation studies, and build dashboards for real-time portfolio monitoring and market surveillance.
  • Model Development & Validation – Develop regression models, correlation studies, and machine learning algorithms to identify investment opportunities; validate model robustness and implement quality assurance checks.
  • Build Advanced Dashboards & Analytics Tools – Create sophisticated Excel models, Python/R scripts, and visualization dashboards for portfolio analysis, performance tracking, and scenario planning.
  • Support Portfolio Construction – Provide quantitative input on asset allocation, diversification strategies, and optimal portfolio weighting using Modern Portfolio Theory and other optimization techniques.
  • Market Intelligence & Trend Analysis – Track macroeconomic indicators, market dynamics, and emerging trends to support quantitative investment theses and risk management strategies.


What We're Looking For

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Statistics, or Engineering.
  • CFA, FRM, or advanced quantitative certifications.
  • Knowledge of Python, R, SQL, or similar programming languages is highly valued.

Preferred Experience

  • 3-10 years of experience in Quantitative Research, Portfolio Analytics, Risk Management, or Investment Strategy within Wealth Management, Investment Banks, Asset Management firms, or Financial Services organizations.
  • Prior experience building and deploying quantitative models in production environments.
  • Exposure to alternative assets (PMS, AIF) and quantitative portfolio construction.

Skills Required

  • Advanced Statistical & Mathematical Knowledge – Proficiency in regression analysis, time series analysis, probability theory, hypothesis testing, and multivariate statistics.
  • Financial Markets Expertise – Understanding of Mutual Funds, Equities, PMS, AIFs, Bonds, derivatives, and quantitative investment strategies.
  • Advanced Excel Skills – Proficiency with complex modeling, data visualization, pivot tables, and VBA automation.
  • Machine Learning & Predictive Analytics – Familiarity with supervised/unsupervised learning techniques, predictive modeling, and data classification.
