Job Description

DC Fabricators is seeking a talented Quality Engineer to join our team. This is an on-site position reporting to our manufacturing facility in Florence, NJ. At DCF, youll be part of a skilled team that delivers high-quality, made-to-spec components where precision, reliability, and customer focus matter.

Whether youre driving results in the office or making them happen on the shop floor, youll collaborate across departments to solve problems, support efficient operations, and help ensure every component is completed safely, accurately, and with precision! Essential Duties of the Quality Engineer: Review proposal work scope, engineering drawings, and contract requirements to ensure manufacturability and proper incorporation of technical requirements. Develop and evaluate alternative methods and recommend process and quality improvements.

Implement in-process quality controls and evaluate process, machine, and measurement system capabilities. Perform statistical analysis to identify root causes of recurring manufacturing issues and recommend corrective actions. Apply statistical methods for in-process control and product acceptance.

Ensure contract quality requirements are properly flowed down through purchase orders and supplier documentation. Conduct supplier quality system audits and evaluate supplier performance. Manage and support the companys internal audit program.

Analyze audit results, identify nonconformances, and ensure effective corrective actions are implemented. Evaluate and disposition customer trouble reports and support resolution of quality issues. Assist in resolving inspection and process-related quality concerns.

Support the preparation and review of material certifications, certificates of compliance, and documentation packages. Assist with preparation of product history books and resolve associated technical issues. Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding quality-related issues on assigned projects.

Education & Skills Requirements: Bachelors degree in Engineering required; Industrial or Mechanical Engineering preferred. 2-5 years of experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment preferred. Strong understanding of quality engineering principles and their application to manufacturing processes. Ability to identify quality issues in pre-production and recommend effective solutions.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform statistical analysis. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent computer skills including working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
