Quality Control Engineer

Position: QC – Language Editor Location: Bangalore/Work from home The L3 QC Copy Editor is responsible for performing the final quality check of manuscripts before delivery to the client. The role ensures that all copyediting work meets journal guidelines, language standards, and quality benchmarks. Key Responsibilities: Perform final quality check (QC) of manuscripts edited by copy editors.

Ensure grammar, punctuation, spelling, and language clarity are correct. Verify journal style guidelines are followed accurately. Check consistency in formatting, references, figures, and tables.

Ensure technical accuracy and completeness of the edited manuscript. Identify and correct missed errors or inconsistencies from earlier editing stages. Provide feedback to editors to improve editing quality.

Maintain high quality standards and turnaround time (TAT). Ensure manuscripts are ready for client submission without errors. Required Skills Strong command of English grammar and editing skills.

Good knowledge of scientific or academic copyediting. Familiarity with journal style guides (RSC, ACS, AMA, Chicago, etc.). Strong attention to detail.

Ability to meet tight deadlines. Good communication and feedback skills. Eligibility Any Graduate or Post-graduate Qualification Bachelor’s or master’s degree in English / Science / Publishing / related field.

Experience 3–5 years of experience in copyediting/Language Editing (L3) Experience in scientific publishing or scholarly journals is preferred. Prior QC experience will be an added advantage. Prior Working Experience in RSC/ACS journals is mandatory
