About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced QA Lead to drive the quality assurance strategy for a project built on a .NET Core 10 Web API backend, Angular 21 frontend, and MS SQL Server 2025 as the primary data store, with significant data migration activities involved. The ideal candidate will own the end-to-end test strategy, lead a team of QA engineers, and ensure high-quality, defect-free releases across functional, integration, regression, and data validation testing streams.

Key Responsibilities :

• Define and own the overall QA/Test Strategy for the project, covering functional, regression, integration, performance, and UAT phases.
• Design test plans and write test cases, execute and reporting and review the test scenarios for .NET Core 10 Web APIs and Angular 21 UI components.
• Own data migration testing — including source-to-target data validation, reconciliation, transformation logic verification, and data integrity/completeness checks between legacy systems and MS SQL Server 2025.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Data Engineers to understand data mapping and validation rules for migration test cycles.
• Set up and maintain test automation frameworks for UI (Angular 21) and API (.NET Core 10 Web API) layers (e.g., Selenium/Playwright, Postman/Rest Assured, or similar).
• Write and review complex SQL Server 2025 queries/scripts for data reconciliation, row/column-level comparisons, and validation of large, migrated datasets.
• Drive defect management — triaging, prioritizing, and tracking defects to closure with development teams.
• Coordinate directly with clients for Demos, UAT cycles, and formal signoffs, ensuring clear communication of test outcomes, risks, and readiness.
• Own go-live readiness assessments and act as the primary QA point of contact for client stakeholders during release cycles.
• Define and track QA metrics (test coverage, defect density, defect leakage, automation coverage) and report status to stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to QA best practices, coding/test standards, and compliance requirements (especially around data privacy and security during migration).
• Plan and manage test environments and test data provisioning, including handling of production-like datasets for migration validation.
• Work closely with DevOps to understand and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, and stay closely involved in deployment and release cycles to plan testing around release windows.
• Evaluate and adopt AI-assisted testing tools/techniques (e.g., AI-based test case generation, self-healing automation scripts, AI-driven defect triage or log analysis) to improve QA efficiency and coverage.
• Conduct risk assessments for releases and provide go/no-go recommendations.

Required Skills & Experience :

• Strong hands-on experience testing applications built on .NET Core (Web API) — experience with the latest .NET Core releases preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience testing Angular applications — experience with recent Angular versions (standalone components, signals, latest routing/state patterns) preferred.
• Proven experience leading data migration testing — validating ETL processes, data transformation rules, row/column-level reconciliation, and large dataset comparisons.
• Advanced SQL Server skills (query writing, stored procedures, performance considerations) for validating migrated data; experience with recent SQL Server versions preferred.
• Experience with test management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, JIRA/Xray, TestRail).
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress for Angular UI testing, and Postman/RestAssured/SoapUI for API testing.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps Pipelines, Jenkins, or GitLab CI).
• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of STLC, defect lifecycle, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• AI-proficient — hands-on exposure to AI-assisted testing tools and techniques (e.g., GitHub Copilot, AI-based test generation/execution assistants, AI-driven test data generation, or AI-augmented log/defect analysis) and comfort applying AI to accelerate QA activities.
• Excellent client-facing communication skills, with proven experience leading Demos, UAT walkthroughs, and formal client sign-off discussions.
• Familiarity with deployment and release management processes (release notes, versioning, rollback plans, environment promotion) and how QA activities align with release cycles.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Prior experience as a QA Lead managing a team of 4+ QA engineers.

Good to Have :

• Experience with cloud data migration projects (Azure/AWS).
• Exposure to data warehousing/BI validation.
• ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.
• Experience with ETL/migration tools such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or Informatica (from a validation/testing standpoint).
• Familiarity with containerized/microservices architectures (Docker, Kubernetes) if applicable to the project.

Education :

• Bachelor of Engineering /master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
