Quality Assurance Analyst II Location: Calgary, AB Type: Contract (minimum 1 year, potential extension & permanent conversion) Rate: $34/h About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Analyst II to support laboratory quality assurance processes and ensure product quality through hands-on inspection and data monitoring. This role combines shop-floor inspection with lab quality system support, making it ideal for candidates with experience in manufacturing QC and/or laboratory QA environments. This is a contract opportunity with strong potential to transition into a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities Quality Control & Inspection: Perform dimensional inspection of manufactured products as they come off production lines Use precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, gauges) to ensure products meet specifications Verify product quality and report any deviations or defects Support assembling and manufacturing processes by ensuring adherence to quality standards Laboratory Quality Assurance Support: Assist in managing and maintaining the Laboratory Quality Assurance System Schedule and coordinate quality control and cross-check programs Prepare and organize batches of quality control samples Monitor and evaluate test accuracy and performance reports (PR) using statistical tools Compile and track key laboratory performance indicators (KPIs) Support troubleshooting issues within Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) Assist the Quality Assurance Coordinator with system maintenance and compliance Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent experience Experience in quality control inspection (manufacturing or lab environment) Hands-on experience with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) Strong understanding of: Quality control processes Regulatory and industry standards Experience working with: Water, wastewater, or petroleum testing methodologies (asset) Data quality review and reporting Familiarity with LIMS systems and troubleshooting (asset) Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to analyze data using basic statistical tools Training & Work Structure Initial 3–4 months training (Monday–Friday) in Leduc Hotel accommodations provided Daily food allowance provided After training: based in Calgary facility What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who is: Hands-on and comfortable in a shop/production environment Detail-oriented with strong measurement and quality inspection skills Interested in blending manufacturing QC with lab QA processes Reliable and open to training and long-term growth What We Offer Brunel connects specialists like you with world‑class opportunities across the globe.
