Title: QA Automation Engineer- Global Payments Engineering Requisition ID: 264532 The Role We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to develop and drive innovative automated testing solutions within the Commercial Banking and Payments domain. You will collaborate closely with Developers, Scrum Masters, QA teams, and Production Support to design, implement and maintain regression automation packages, creating high‑quality test plans and cases, troubleshooting non‑conforming software, and improving test efficiency. What You’ll Do Lead continuous improvements for the QA automation regression package to enhance efficiency for each release.
Work closely with Scrum Masters, developers, and QA teams to plan and prioritise testing activities, building new test cases and automating existing manual ones. Maintain and update the existing automation package for each release. Collaborate with Production Support to maintain and enhance the Production Regression package on Selenium via Windows Virtual Machine.
Automate ad hoc manual testing where applicable. Track and troubleshoot automation software bugs and investigate causes. Identify areas for improvement in automation development.
Create test plans, design and prioritise test cases. Review technical specifications and design documents. Assist with regression testing as needed.
Monitor assurance metrics and process results. Manage multiple concurrent project initiatives and stay organized. Perform manual testing where required.
What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 3+ years of demonstrable experience as a QA Automation Engineer, QA Tester, or a relevant IT role. Complete understanding of automation systems and databases. Experience developing automation in at least one OO language—Java, Python, or a web‑based technology.
Expertise with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Robot Framework, Karate, and Cucumber. Experience testing REST services. Experience with Docker and Jenkins.
Good understanding of build tools like Maven, Gradle, and Ant. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process. Knowledge of testing protocols and methods (white box, black box).
Familiarity with the software development lifecycle. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
