Python Developer

Job Title: Python Developer Location: Montreal (day 1 onboarding onsite/ in-office presence required 3x/week) Duration:12+months extendable contract We are looking for highly motivated and dedicated individuals to our MBS (Mortgage Backed Security) technology Risk & Pricing team. We are looking for candidates with good technology background and with Fixed Income risk and pricing knowledge to provide solutions for risk management and regulatory projects. Responsibilities: • Analyzes Business requirements and create technology requirements by collaborating with different business teams. • Create Technology solutions by collaborating with technology team members. • Deliver end-to-end solution using high quality standards in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to trouble shoot issues and provide solutions to the issues. • Willing to learn Financial business and new programming languages.

The candidate should be able to handle the full life-cycle of the project from requirements analysis to final implementation and rollout into production and also have outstanding communication skills. Skills Required • Hands on programming experience in C++/Python • Hands on programming experience in Java is nice-to-have • Hands on programming experience in scripting languages • Perl/Shell scripting is required • Experience with querying and analyzing the data using Sybase and MS Excel • Fixed Income/MBS business knowledge is a definite preference. • Hands on programming experience in KDB+/Q/Functional programming is plus. • Quantitative knowledge and skills are a strong plus • Good at AI Assist coding
