Purchasing Engineer

About the Role We are looking for Purchasing Engineer, who will actively contribute as a key member of the supply chain team by supporting strategic sourcing of manufacturing components and catalogue parts, coordinating effectively with group companies, and driving efficiency across all supply chain activities. Technical Competencies: (Nature / type of technical proficiency required to execute this role) • Good knowledge of Mechanical Engineering, manufacturing process. • Deep understanding on Engineering drawings and tolerances to ascertain the Manufacturing Steps and process involved. • Knowledge on various material properties and Surface treatments. • Strong Negotiation Skills • Experience in working on SAP is desired Behavioural Competencies: (Nature / type of behavioural competencies required to execute this role) • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Excellent analytical ability • Expertise on MS office especially in Excel and PPT more relevant ➢ Responsibilities: Supplier Development & Management o Source and develop reliable vendors for both drawing parts and standard components. o Conduct vendor analysis, audits, and performance evaluations to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards. Strategic Planning o Align with long- and short-term supply chain strategies. o Analyse customer demand, prepare accurate forecasts, and ensure timely planning and supply of components.

Logistics & Distribution o Manage the seamless flow of goods across the supply chain. o Coordinate with transport providers and third-party logistics firms to ensure safe, efficient, and timely exports to group companies Commercial Operations o Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing goods. o Ensure transparency and compliance in documentation and reporting. o Monitor and analyze price trends of key raw materials, implementing timely and optimal price adjustments to protect business interests while ensuring fair value for both parties. Supplier Evaluation o Assess supplier core competencies and competitive positioning. o Benchmark against industry quality standards to drive continuous improvement. Process Improvement o Contribute to reviewing supply chain processes and strategies. o Develop and implement steps to enhance efficiency, cost effectiveness, and sustainability.

Technical Expertise o Possess in-depth knowledge of machines, manufacturing processes, fabrication, and sheet metal parts. o Experienced in secondary processes such as ENP, anodizing, painting/powder coating, and hardening treatments. Education: Diploma / Degree in mechanical/Production engineering or relevant Experience: 3 to 5 years
