Advance psychological health as a Psychologist at Providence Health Care, focusing on HIV/AIDS patients. This role emphasizes assessment and treatment within a multidisciplinary team.

As a Psychologist, you will report to the Professional Practice Leader and work collaboratively with Vancouver Coastal Health. Hold a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and utilize your expertise in evaluating and treating psychological conditions. Enhance the mental well-being of patients at risk for chronic illnesses and improve educational outreach among healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete psychological assessments and document findings accurately
  • Provide both short-term and group treatment to patients
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Document progress notes and handle patient records meticulously
  • Conduct program evaluation and participate in clinical research

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from an accredited school
  • Registration with CHCPBC and relevant experience in primary care
  • Knowledge of treatment for chronic health and mental health issues
  • Ability to communicate effectively and lead educational initiatives
  • Skills in program development and evaluation
