Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

We are actively seeking a culturally responsive Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide compassionate, person-centered care within a community-based health center. This role is ideal for a clinician committed to social justice, health equity, and improving access to behavioral healthcare for diverse and historically underserved populations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, mental status exams, and risk assessments
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and the interdisciplinary care team
• Provide crisis intervention and support medication-assisted treatment
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation

Qualifications

• Active New York State Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner license
• Master of Science in Nursing and appropriate psychiatric certification
• DEA registration and BLS/CPR certification
• Experience treating mental health, substance use, and co-occurring conditions
• Demonstrated cultural competence and experience serving racially, culturally, economically, and clinically diverse communities
• Strong commitment to social justice, health equity, and trauma-informed care
