Prophet 21 (P21) Analyst / Trainer – SOP & User Training Specialist Pay 60-70 W2 or 65-75 1099/C2C 6-Month Contract/40 hours a week Job Summary: We are seeking a Prophet 21 (P21) Analyst / Trainer to support, develop, and optimize business processes within the Epicor Prophet 21 ERP environment. This role is primarily focused on creating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), delivering end-user training, and driving user adoption through process improvement, documentation, and system support. The ideal candidate will serve as a subject matter expert for Prophet 21, ensuring users are trained effectively and business processes are standardized, efficient, and aligned with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities: Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Development & Documentation Develop, document, maintain, and update SOPs, work instructions, process flows, and training materials for Prophet 21 business processes. Collaborate with business units to standardize workflows across sales, purchasing, inventory, warehousing, finance, and customer service functions. Analyze existing procedures and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency, consistency, and compliance.

Ensure all SOP documentation aligns with internal controls, audit requirements, and business best practices. Support documentation of system configurations, process changes, and enhancements within Prophet 21. User Training & Adoption Design and deliver end-user training programs for new hires and existing employees on Prophet 21 functionality and business processes.

Conduct instructor-led training sessions, workshops, refresher courses, and one-on-one coaching. Create user guides, job aids, quick reference materials, and e-learning resources to support ongoing learning. Evaluate training effectiveness and user adoption through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.

Serve as a go-to resource for end-user questions and support related to Prophet 21 processes. System Support & Process Improvement Provide functional support for Prophet 21 users, troubleshoot issues, and escalate system-related concerns when needed. Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve workflows, optimize system usage, and reduce manual processes.

Support testing and user acceptance activities for upgrades, enhancements, and process changes. Assist with change management initiatives and communication related to system updates or procedural changes. Promote best practices and drive continuous improvement in ERP utilization.

Qualifications: Experience working with Epicor Prophet 21 (P21) ERP system. Strong knowledge of business processes including order management, purchasing, inventory, warehouse operations, and customer service. Experience developing SOPs, process documentation, and training materials.

Proven ability to deliver user training and support change management initiatives. Strong understanding of ERP workflows, business process mapping, and process improvement methodologies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Experience with user support, UAT testing, and ERP implementations/upgrades is a plus. Preferred Skills: Experience in distribution, supply chain, or manufacturing environments.

Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.). Familiarity with documentation tools, LMS platforms, or training development tools. Experience supporting ERP adoption and cross-functional training programs.
