Position Summary RFL Wealth is seeking a Project Manager – Strategic Initiatives to lead business transformation projects that support the company’s long-term growth. Working directly with the COO, this individual will coordinate cross-functional initiatives, build operational frameworks, and ensure strategic projects move from concept to execution.
This is a fully remote, six-month contract position Key Responsibilities Strategic Project Management • Lead cross-department strategic initiatives. • Build project plans, timelines, budgets, and milestones. • Coordinate internal teams and external partners. • Monitor risks and resolve project issues. • Deliver weekly progress reports to leadership. Business Initiatives • Lead the development of the RFL Wealth Playbook. • Coordinate the rollout of new business offerings such as Segregated Funds. • Support future product and service launches. • Coordinate with carriers, vendors, and external partners. Documentation & Process Development • Develop comprehensive operational documentation. • Build playbooks, templates, workflows, and implementation guides. • Standardize business processes across departments. • Ensure documentation remains current and scalable.
Training & Change Management • Coordinate internal training programs for new initiatives. • Develop rollout strategies for new services. • Support department leaders during implementation. • Track adoption and identify improvement opportunities. Cross-Functional Collaboration • Work closely with Financial Planning, Insurance, Investments, Accounting, Marketing, Compliance, and Operations. • Facilitate meetings and ensure accountability for project deliverables. • Maintain project documentation and decision logs. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Project Management, Operations Management, Finance, or a related field. • 3–5+ years of experience leading strategic projects, business transformation initiatives, or operational improvement programs. • Proven experience managing multiple cross-functional projects from planning through implementation. • Experience developing business playbooks, operational frameworks, policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). • Strong project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder management experience. • Experience coordinating executive-level initiatives and presenting project updates to senior leadership. • Demonstrated experience leading change management and driving successful organizational adoption of new initiatives. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify operational inefficiencies and recommend practical solutions. • Experience facilitating workshops, meetings, and cross-functional collaboration across multiple departments. • Experience developing implementation plans, rollout strategies, and governance frameworks. • Financial services, wealth management, insurance, banking, or professional services experience is considered an asset. • PMP, CAPM, Agile, Scrum Master, Lean Six Sigma, or Prosci Change Management certification is considered an asset. • Experience working in a fully remote and collaborative environment. • Financial services or wealth management experience is considered an asset but is not required.

Employment status: Full-time employee. Fully remote. · Hours of work: o Standard workweek of 40 hours. o Overtime, where applicable, will be compensated in accordance with the Ontario Employment Standards Act (ESA). · This role is an incremental addition to the existing team, with high ownership and visibility, created to support the company’s growth objectives.
