Job Description
Title: Senior Project Management Specialist Work Hours: Full-Time (37.5 hours per week) Duration: 1 year Optional Extension: 1 year Security Clearance: Consultant must have the ability to obtain: Secret Status ( required) – processed by the CLIENT if selected to hire) (Consultant must reside in Canada for a minimum of 5 years to be eligible to apply for Bank of Canada Security Clearance) Work Location: Hybrid (required 3 days on-site per week) JOB DESCRIPTION : The Consultant will be responsible for providing the following Services to the Bank: Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Cyber Threat Intelligence, Monitoring and Response: • Coordinate and provide project management support for the planning and implementation of initiatives under the Monitoring and Response, Operational Resilience and Cyber Planning and Resilience portfolios, ensuring alignment with business objectives and Cyber security requirements • Assist with the development of program/project plans, the preparation of risk registers and the coordination of required approvals • Support the development of the IT Resilience strategy, including building the roadmap and outlining the goals, initiatives, dependencies, and milestones • Plan and coordinate testing of recovery processes for crown-jewel systems in collaboration with the Operational Resilience team • Support the development of key project management deliverables, including governance models, implementation plans, transition strategies, and monthly status reports • Coordinate program/project change requests in alignment with governance processes • Assist in the development and maintenance of program/project status dashboards to ensure accurate and up-to-date reporting of key metrics, and provide regular progress updates to management and program sponsors, ensuring timely visibility into milestones, risks, and issues • Coordinate resource allocation with team managers and facilitate collaboration across cross-functional teams to support the achievement of program/project objectives and collaborate with project managers and project controllers within the Bank to support the analysis and optimization of resource assignments • Collaborate with project team to enable and support the initiative (business analyst, change management, communications, etc.) • Engage with key stakeholders and business partners to ensure understanding of client needs and support effective resolution of client inquiries and concerns • Facilitate daily scrum meetings to provide guidance to the technical teams in identifying and prioritizing deliverables • Coordinate and support cross functional initiatives across Information Technology Services (ITS) to meet departmental objectives • Other activities and deliverables, as required Required Qualifications & Skills: The Consultant should have the following qualifications and skills: • University degree or college diploma in computer science, engineering or business administration • A minimum of ten (10) years of recent demonstrated experience in the field of information security and IT • A minimum of ten (10) years of demonstrated experience as a Senior Project Manager overseeing a project team for the definition and implementation of cyber security solutions in a complex environment • Demonstrable experience applying PMBOK principles and methodologies in project delivery • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into effective application solutions • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve project and organizational objectives is required. Additional Qualifications: The following will also be considered: • SCRUM Master Certification • PMP Certification • Demonstratable knowledge of the Bank’s functions and core business processes • Demonstrated experience with Cloud projects (Microsoft Azure) • French will be considered an asset
