I’m partnering with Keyera, a key owner‑client in the midstream sector, who has an immediate need for a Project Engineer in Calgary on a long‑term contract basis (initial 1‑year term with extension potential). This role supports the Frac 3 program, focusing on large‑scale facility engineering and brownfield execution.
Role Overview
Keyera is looking for a Project Engineer with 10–15 years of experience supporting major processing facilities. The role will work closely with engineering partners, construction teams, operations, and equipment packagers to deliver complex scopes tied to fractionation, light refining, and modular equipment packages.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead engineering coordination for fractionation and light‑refining scopes within the Frac 3 program.
- Interface with EP contractors, construction teams, operations, and project controls.
- Support development of engineering deliverables, equipment specifications, and modular package reviews.
- Oversee work with equipment packagers, module yards, and fabrication vendors.
- Provide technical guidance during FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, and construction.
- Participate in model reviews, HAZOPs, risk assessments, and constructability sessions.
- Support cost, schedule, and change management processes.
- Ensure engineering and construction activities align with Keyera’s safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Required Experience
- 10–15 years of engineering experience in large‑scale facilities (fractionators, stabilizers, treating units, gas plants, refineries, or petrochemical facilities).
- Strong background working with EP/EPCM contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience supporting brownfield construction inside operating facilities.
- Familiarity with modular equipment packages, fabrication yards, and vendor coordination.
- Solid understanding of project execution, technical assurance, and facility integration.
