Production Team Lead

The Production Team Lead is responsible for leading a team of approximately 15 Biotech Associates within a GMP‑regulated cell and gene therapy manufacturing environment. The role combines people leadership with operational oversight, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing operations across a 24/7 production schedule. The position partners closely with Production, QA, QC, and Manufacturing Compliance teams to maintain production continuity, support batch release activities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Non‑Negotiable Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

• Experience leading a manufacturing or production team within a biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or other regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience working within a GMP‑regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience overseeing manufacturing operations or production activities.
• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline, OR equivalent practical manufacturing leadership experience.
• Availability to work a 24/7 rotating shift schedule, including day, evening, and night shifts.

Desirable Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

• Experience within cell therapy, gene therapy, biologics, or advanced therapy manufacturing.
• Experience managing manufacturing investigations.
• Experience handling deviations.
• Experience managing CAPAs.
• Experience reviewing or completing manufacturing documentation and batch records.
• Experience collaborating with Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), or Manufacturing Compliance teams.
• Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing production staff.
• Experience working in high‑volume or fast‑paced manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of operational efficiency, productivity improvement, and cost optimization initiatives.
