Overview

As Lead Product Manager, you will translate business and customer needs into a clear product strategy and measurable outcomes. You will steer cross-functional teams through discovery, development, launch and continuous improvement, aligning with senior stakeholders and client objectives. This role goes beyond backlog management, requiring leadership from vision through execution in large-scale digital transformations.

Responsibilities
  • Own and communicate the product vision, strategy and long-term direction
  • Align product strategy with organisational objectives, customer needs and commercial priorities
  • Develop and maintain an outcome-focused roadmap spanning multiple workstreams
  • Lead customer discovery, journey mapping and validation activities
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams across Product, Engineering, UX/UI, Data, AI, QA, Security and Ops
  • Ensure clear epics, requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria for delivery
  • Collaborate with engineering on trade-offs between scope, quality, time, cost and risk
  • Lead release planning, readiness reviews and post-launch evaluation
  • Improve product and delivery ways of working with Agile practices
  • Act as primary product representative for senior stakeholders and governance forums
  • Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to Product Managers and cross-functional teams
  • Establish and continuously improve product management practices and operating model
  • Represent and strengthen the product function across the organisation
  • Maintain a healthy backlog and manage blockers and dependencies
  • Drive decision-making with clear communication of progress, risks and trade-offs
Key requirements
  • Significant experience in product management with a track record of leading complex products from strategy to delivery and adoption
  • Experience as Product Manager, Senior Product Manager or Lead Product Manager in B2B/D2C Commerce or digital transformations
  • Proven experience owning product strategy, roadmaps, prioritisation and outcomes across complex products or platforms
  • Experience delivering workflow, project management, operations or back-office SaaS solutions
  • Proven experience leading greenfield product development or platform transformation
  • Experience working across multiple product squads or workstreams
  • Track record of delivering measurable customer, operational or commercial outcomes
  • Experience working with senior executives, enterprise clients and diverse stakeholders
  • Experience operating in a large, global organisation with formal governance
  • Strong understanding of commerce ecosystems and online customer experience
  • Strong understanding of Agile, Lean and modern product management (Scrum, Kanban, continuous discovery)
  • Ability to move between strategic thinking, discovery, planning and delivery
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, facilitation and influencing skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and link between product decisions, revenue and strategy
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Confidence making decisions in ambiguous environments
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate through influence
  • Highly organised and self-directed with initiative
  • Comfortable using Jira, Confluence, Aha!, Productboard or equivalents
  • Desirable: recognised Product Management or Agile Product Owner certification
