Responsibilities Product Discovery and Strategy: Contribute to the development of product strategy by providing insights from user feedback and competitive analysis. Make recommendations to management for reengineering business processes to achieve greater efficiency. Produce comprehensive business reports that improve decision-making speed and drive feature prioritization.
Identify trends and opportunities for improvement that align with the company's strategic goals and objectives. Assist in updating product roadmaps to reflect strategic goals, key opportunities and market insights. Align stakeholder needs with product strategy and roadmap priorities through effective collaboration.
Product Delivery and Implementation: Collaborate with stakeholders to conduct business analysis, gathering and documenting detailed business requirements and specifications. Facilitate clear and effective communication of business requirements to team members, including systems and management teams. Contribute to the product development process by writing user stories, organizing and prioritizing the product backlog, and running trade-offs.
Design and implement test plans and test cases, evaluating outcomes to ensure effective implementation of business solutions. Leverage tools like Jira and actively participate in agile ceremonies to refine backlog and ensure timely delivery. Communicate delivery progress and maintain alignment goals and timelines Conduct user acceptance testing to ensure delivered features meet quality standards and requirements.
Data-Driven Insights and Strategic Decisions: Analyze data from multiple sources to resolve conflicts and deliver actionable insights. Analyze product performance and usage data to identify trends and inform decisions. Collaborate with data teams to ensure accurate and timely data collection.
Change Management and Go-to-Market Activities: Support the execution of change management and go-to-market strategies for product rollouts. Address stakeholder needs during change initiatives to ensure smooth adoption. Partner with cross-functional teams to develop communication materials and create relevant training sessions and product demos.
Leadership and Stakeholder Alignment: Build strong relationships with stakeholders such as Operations, Technology, Compensation, Finance, and third‑party vendors to enhance processes and drive continuous improvements. Use frameworks like SWOT Analysis, RACI Matrix and OKRs to guide strategic decisions. What we are looking for (required) Experience: 3–5 years in business analysis or a related product management field with a consistent track record of delivering successful changes to digital products/projects within complex or regulated environments.
Language Skills: Bilingual (French and English) required. Ability to work effectively with French‑ and English‑speaking stakeholders, including advisors, clients, and internal partners across Manulife. Education: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, information technology or an equivalent field.
Skills: Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills. Adept at formulating business requirements and user stories, then testing/validating results. Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to facilitate cross‑departmental collaboration and effectively convey complex information.
Stakeholder Management: Skills in engaging and leading stakeholders to align product vision and strategy to ensure project alignment and success. Market Research: Knowledge of market research methodologies, including data collection, analysis, and competitor analysis. Product Lifecycle: Knowledge of digital product lifecycle from ideation through requirements, testing/validation to deployment.
Collaboration: Ability to collaborate with Business, Operations and Technology teams to develop solutions. Data Analysis Proficiency: Experience with data analysis tools, including advanced Excel skills (such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data visualization), and familiarity with SQL to extract and analyze data from databases. Data Visualization Proficiency: Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau is preferred, with the ability to create and interpret complex reports and dashboards.
Data-Driven Decisions: Ability to demonstrate data analytics to advise product decisions and optimize performance. Technical Skills: Experience applying project management and product management tools such as Jira or Rally to manage product backlogs, roadmaps, user stories, sprint planning, issues management, generating reports and identifying areas for improvement. What we are looking for (preferred) Wealth Management Experience: 3-5 years demonstrated experience supporting digital products or initiatives within a Wealth Management or Advisory business, ideally within a Canadian investment dealership environment (e.g., advisor platforms, client onboarding, account servicing, compensation, compliance, or regulatory workflows).
Familiarity with advisor and client journeys in organizations such as Manulife Wealth or similar wealth dealerships is a strong asset. AI Familiarity: Familiarity with the latest AI trends and technologies is a plus. Agile Proficiency: Shown talent in agile methodologies, such as Lean, Scrum, and Kanban, with a focus on iterative approaches that drive business outcomes and enhance adoption.
Process Improvement: Experience with process improvement methodologies like Six Sigma or Lean is an asset. Certifications: Preferred certifications include Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Project Management Professional (PMP). Financial Services: Familiarity with financial services industry operations and regulatory requirements.
Numerical & Data Integrity Expertise: Strong numeracy skills, with proficiency in data manipulation and reconciliation. Project Management: Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage timelines, create Gannt charts, allocate resources, track action items Change Management: Familiarity with formal change management approaches and digital engagement strategies.
